Residents in Selkirk are being given the chance to hear how plans to overhaul a mansion left to the community are progressing.

A public meeting is being staged to outline work at Haining House.

Former lawyer Andrew Nimmo-Smith left the property to the local community following his death in 2009.

Plans for the building include artisan workshops in the coach house and stable block, holiday accommodation and an art gallery.

The Haining Charitable Trust hopes local people will be reassured by the meeting in the town's parish church at 18:30 on Thursday.
