Poor weather causes road problems in Dumfries and Galloway

Heavy rain and strong winds have been causing problems on the roads, and some flooding, in Dumfries and Galloway.

Police said two fallen trees had blocked the M77 two miles north of Cairnryan Port.

There was also standing water on the M74 in the region, with Junction 15 notably bad.

Officers were in attendance at a reported landslide on the A7 one mile south of Langholm. There were reports of flooding in the Langholm town area.

The Met Office has yellow "be aware" warnings of heavy rain in place for most parts of Scotland until 22:00.
