Borders Royal Bank of Scotland fraud attempt admitted

A man who tried to obtain more than £61,000 by fraud at four Borders Royal Bank of Scotland branches has been remanded in custody for reports.

At Jedburgh Sheriff Court, Tadjudeen Abiola, 43, admitted four charges of trying to get money by fraud.

The court heard he targeted premises in Galashiels, Melrose, Hawick and Jedburgh in April this year.

Abiola, also known as Oloyede Atunwa, described as a prisoner in Edinburgh, is due to be sentenced on 19 October.
