Selkirk court appearance over Hawick drug charge

A 45-year-old man has been accused of being involved in the supply of heroin following a police raid on a house in Hawick.

Mohammed Akram made no plea or declaration during a private hearing at Selkirk Sheriff Court.

He was remanded in custody by Sheriff Kevin Drummond pending his next court appearance.

The court hearing followed a search by Lothian and Borders Police of a property in Elm Court in Hawick.
