Castle Douglas woman Laura Logan admits puppy offence

A 10-month-old puppy has been taken from a woman after it was found to be only one fifth of the body weight it should have been.

Laura Logan, 25, of Marle Place, Castle Douglas, admitted failing to provide a suitable and adequate diet for the dog.

Kirkcudbright Sheriff Court heard how the cross-bred puppy regained weight after being taken by the Scottish SPCA.

Logan was banned from keeping a dog for six months and order to carry out 60 hours unpaid work.
