Woman cut free from Kelso car crash

Firefighters have had to cut a woman free from her car following a crash on a rural road in the Scottish Borders.

The incident happened at about 16:30 on Thursday on the A6089 road at Nenthorn near Kelso.

The road was closed for some time after the two-vehicle crash to allow rescue work to take place.

The woman was taken to Borders General Hospital with back and leg injuries, and another woman was treated on site by ambulance personnel.
