Dumfries Infirmary norovirus outbreak wards reopen

Two wards at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary have reopened after a suspected outbreak of the norovirus.

Ward 14 was shut to visitors, new admissions and transfers on Wednesday and the closure was extended to include ward six on Friday.

NHS Dumfries and Galloway took the decision then to keep both wards closed until Monday.

A short statement confirmed that they had now reopened as normal following the outbreak.
