Woman, 87, 'serious' after Annan crash

An 87-year-old woman is in a serious condition in hospital after being struck by a car in Annan.

She was taken to Dumfries Infirmary for treatment following the incident in Ednam Street at about 10:00 on Tuesday.

The woman was walking in the area when she was hit by a black Ford Fiesta.

She was said to be in a "serious but stable" condition in hospital while the driver of the car was unhurt in the incident.
