First Borders bus driver recruitment promises jobs

First Borders has said it will create 20 new jobs as part of a major bus driver recruitment campaign in the region.

It also hopes to hire additional drivers in the new year as part of service improvements in the area.

The company currently employs 120 staff at its Galashiels headquarters in the Borders.

Councillor John Mitchell said the new jobs were "good news for the local economy".
