Galashiels man charged with Eyemouth takeaway delivery robbery

A Galashiels man has appeared in court accused of robbing a 52-year-old woman at knifepoint in Eyemouth.

The woman was delivering a takeaway meal in Glebe Crescent on Saturday when she was robbed of her takings.

Garry Stewart, 22, appeared in private at Selkirk Sheriff Court charged with assault and robbery.

He made no plea or declaration and the case was continued for further examination. He was released on bail by Sheriff Peter Paterson.
