Lockerbie scholarship lands budget boost
A scholarship scheme set up following the Lockerbie bombing is to receive UK government funding of £100,000.
The announcement was made by Chancellor George Osborne as part of his budget speech.
The Scottish government has already pledged £60,000 towards the scholarship.
It allows two pupils a year from Lockerbie Academy to study at Syracuse University in New York State which lost 35 students in the 1988 atrocity.
