Boy arrested over Kelso High School 'bomb hoax' call

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with an alleged bomb threat which resulted in a secondary school being evacuated.

About 700 pupils and staff at Kelso High School had to leave the premises on 1 April after a suspicious call.

The call was later determined to be a hoax and the school resumed as normal the following day.

Police confirmed that a 14-year-old boy would be reported to the Children's Panel.
