Alexander McMorran dies after Gretna crash

A pensioner who was injured in a car accident in Gretna has died, police have confirmed.

Alexander McMorran, 75, of Ecclefechan, Dumfries-shire, was involved in a collision on 15 May.

He was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary where he died on Wednesday.

The procurator fiscal has been informed of the circumstances and police are appealing for witnesses.

The accident happened on Loanwath Road near the junction with Africanda Road at about 14:10.
