New appeal over Dumfries bike path indecency man

A fresh appeal has been made for information to track down a man who indecently exposed himself to a woman on a Dumfries cycle path.

The incident happened at about 16:30 on Tuesday, 12 August near Bannatynes Gym.

The victim was a 62-year-old woman who was walking on the Caledonian cycleway between Heathhall and Dumfries.

The man was described as being between 20 and 40 years old, about 5ft 4in tall with short hair and a round face.

He exposed himself to the woman twice before running off along the path towards St Mary's Industrial Estate.

He was wearing a light blue waterproof jacket and blue jogging-type trousers with a white stripe down the leg.

His description is similar to that of a man wanted in connection with two other incidents of indecent exposure in Dumfries in March and June.

Police are investigating possible links and want to hear from anyone who can help identify the suspect.
