'Stolen' Waterbeck sheep found sheltering in nearby wood

One hundred sheep worth around £10,000 which were reported stolen have been found sheltering in nearby woodland.

It had been thought the animals had been taken from land near High Stenries farm at Waterbeck in Dumfries and Galloway.

Police Scotland launched an investigation after the theft was reported on Friday.

However, the Texel cross and Cheviot Mule cross ewes have now been found safe and well.
