Woman sentenced after armed police called to West Linton

A woman who threw a brick through a restaurant's window after she was unable to book a table, has been sentenced.

Armed police were called to West Linton when Jacqueline Woods, 47, of Livingston, was seen with an air rifle.

At Selkirk Sheriff Court she was sentenced to an 18 month community payback order and ordered to pay £520 compensation.

It happened at The Old Bakehouse in West Linton on 10 January last year.

At an earlier hearing she admitted threatening and abusive behaviour, recklessly damaging property and having an air rifle without authority.
