A series of consultation events on plans to tackle flooding in Dumfries and Galloway is getting under way.

The local authority is one of 14 working with the Scottish Environment Protection Agency to pinpoint areas at risk and what action can be taken.

Drop-in sessions will be held across the region over the next two weeks.

They start in Stranraer followed by Kirkconnel, Dalbeattie, Kirkcudbright, Dumfries, Newton Stewart, Langholm and Annan.

Details of the consultation - as well as the drop-in sessions - can be found on the council website.
