Roman pottery stolen from Melrose Abbey
Police have launched an investigation after a number of items of Roman pottery were stolen from Melrose Abbey.
The artefacts, which date from 80-180 AD and are thought to be worth about £400, were taken from the Commendator's House.
Police Scotland believe they were taken from a locked room between 30 April and 1 May.
Constable Liam Myers appealed for information from anyone who saw anything suspicious at the abbey.
He added: "In addition, those with information that can help us trace those responsible and return the items to the museum are also urged to contact police immediately."
