Lisa Bahmani, 18, from Hawick, died in a two-car collision near Lilliardsedge Caravan Park on Wednesday.

She was an animal care student at Borders College.

It offered condolences to her family and said support was being offered to students and staff who had been affected by the incident.

Course tutor Karen Cairney said: "Lisa was a wonderful young lady who played an active part in college life both as an animal care student and as a class representative.
