Van driver injured in two-vehicle crash on A701 near Beattock

A van driver has been injured in two-vehicle crash on the A701 near Beattock in Dumfries and Galloway.

Emergency services - including a heli-med helicopter - were sent to the scene following the incident which took place at about 11:20.

The road was shut for about two-and-a-half hours as a result of the accident involving a lorry and a van.

Police Scotland said the man driving the van had been taken to hospital suffering from leg injuries.
