A man accused of taking part in a raid on a convenience store in Innerleithen has been banned from entering Scotland.

Marques Munro, 20, of Bulwell, Nottingham, was remanded in custody at Jedburgh Sheriff Court last week.

He was released a day later on condition he did not enter Innerleithen.

However, he was arrested in the town at the weekend and has now been banned from entering Scotland apart from when he has to appear in court.

He appeared at Selkirk Sheriff Court this week and admitted breaching the conditions of his bail.

Sentence for the offence was deferred.

He made no plea or declaration last week when he was charged with assault and robbery following an incident at the Caddon Court Mini Market in Innerleithen on 14 May.
