Police are seeking witnesses after three dogs, thought to be Staffordshire bull terriers, attacked and injured two other dogs in Dumfries.

The incidents happened in the Lochside area of the town shortly after 09:00.

A small terrier was attacked on Carrick Road and then a Labrador pup was hurt on Waverley Road.

Police said the three dogs which carried out the attacks appeared to be "roaming free" and appealed for any information about the incidents.
