Man in court over sister's crash death near Grantshouse
A teenager has been charged with causing the death of his 20-year-old sister by dangerous driving after a crash on the A1 in the Borders.
Fayyadh Alkhaeriji, 19, of Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, appeared in private at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
It is understood he was on holiday in Scotland at the time of the accident near Grantshouse on 21 August.
He made no plea or declaration during a brief court appearance and his case was continued for further examination.
Mr Alkhaeriji was also charged with causing serious injury to another female passenger by dangerous driving and having no insurance.
