Teenager arrested after road crash

Police have arrested a teenager in connection with a road crash that left three people in hospital in Dumfries and Galloway.

The crash, which happened in Standalane, Annan, involved a red VW Golf and a silver Nissan Almera on Monday.

Police Scotland said they had arrested a 17-year old man following the incident.

A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Two women in their 30s and a man in his 20s, who were travelling in the Almera, were treated at Dumfries Infirmary following the crash.

The man has since been discharged, although the two women remain in hospital.

Police said their injuries were not thought to be life threatening.
