Innerleithen grocery store armed robbery admitted
A 21-year-old man has admitted an armed robbery at a grocery store in Innerleithen.
Marques Monroe brandished a knife at a female worker, attempted to rob her of a holdall of cigarettes and robbed her of a bottle of alcohol.
Monroe - who gave an address care of his parents in Nottingham - also admitted possession of a knife at the Caddon Court store in May last year.
Sentence was deferred at Jedburgh Sheriff Court for a psychiatric report.
A restriction of liberty order assessment will also be carried out.
