A Borders community hospital has reopened to admissions after a stomach bug outbreak.

A number of patients at the facility in Kelso were said to have symptoms consistent with viral gastroenteritis.

Visitors were being "strongly discouraged" from coming to the hospital.

NHS Borders joint director of public health Dr Tim Patterson thanked the public for their help in dealing with the latest outbreak.
