Post-mortems planned on Falkirk flat death bodies

Post-mortem examinations are due to be carried out on the bodies of a man and a woman found dead in Falkirk.

Officers from Central Scotland Police were investigating another incident when they made the discovery at Carradale Avenue in Tamfourhill.

The deaths of the 27-year-old man and 19-year-old woman, named locally as John Mercer and Danielle McDonald, are thought to be drugs-related.

Another 19-year-old woman was also taken to hospital.

The bodies were discovered at the three-storey block of flats at about 1615 BST on Saturday.

It is understood the emergency services were responding to reports that another person had fallen ill at the property when Mr Mercer and Ms McDonald were found dead in another room.
