'Naive' father-to-be spared jail for selling drugs

An expectant father was spared jail after Perth Sheriff Court was told he was only selling cocaine to pay for his unborn baby.

Kristopher Zdrzalek, 31, from Lingay Court in Perth, admitted selling the class A drug for a week in May to raise funds for baby supplies.

The court was told that he and his girlfriend had lost their jobs.

His solicitor said, while his motives had been selfless, he had been naive and stupid.

Sheriff William Summers ordered him to carry out 160 hours of unpaid work.
