Parents pay tribute to 'gentle and caring daughter'

The parents of woman who died in a Perthshire road crash on Wednesday have paid tribute to their "gentle, dedicated and caring daughter".

Laura Campbell ,22, was a passenger in a Toyota MR2 which collided with a Ford Explorer near Balboughty Cottages, north of Old Scone.

She later died of her injuries at Dundee's Ninewells Hospital.

Tayside Police have appealed to anyone who saw the the crash or either of the vehicles beforehand to contact them.

Ms Campbell, who was from Blairgowrie, was a former pupil of Craigclowan Preparatory School in Bridge of Earn.

She had recently begun her third year of a business studies degree at the University of Abertay, in Dundee.

In a statement issued through police, her father, Duncan Campbell said: "Forever chirpy and cheerful, with a winning smile, the house will seem a lot quieter without her positive influence.''

The statement added: "Her zest for life was apparent in everything she did and she will be greatly missed by her mum, dad and brother.

"She provided great comfort and support to her mum in caring for her dad, to whom, she meant the world."
