Body of man recovered from River Tay

The body of a 43-year-old man has been pulled from the River Tay in Dundee.

Tayside Police said the discovery was made at about 1045 BST on Sunday between the Tay Road Bridge and the Tay Rail Bridge.

Police are not treating the circumstances surrounding the man's death as suspicious.

The force said he would not be named until a formal identification had taken place. A report into the death is being forwarded the procurator fiscal.
