Youth, 17, charged over newspaper vendor attack

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with an attack which left a newspaper seller with a broken leg.

The woman was injured after a man approached her newspaper kiosk on Dundee's Reform Street while she was inside and pushed it over.

The incident happened outside Boots the Chemist on Wednesday at about 1715 GMT.

A Tayside Police spokesman said the teenager had been charged and was expected to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Friday.
