M90 crash teenager dies in hospital

An 18-year-old man who was critically injured in a crash on the outskirts of Perth, has died in hospital.

Ricky Brown, from Newburgh in Fife, was a passenger in a grey Ford Focus which overturned at Junction 10 of the M90 just after midnight on Friday.

The driver, a 20-year-old man, was also injured but has since left hospital.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash. Tayside Police have appealed for witnesses - or anyone who saw the car before the crash - to contact them.

Sgt Alan Pettigrew said: "This is a tragic incident which has resulted in the untimely death of a young man.

"Our thoughts are with Ricky's family at this very difficult time as they endeavour to take in what has happened."
