Castle Huntly absconder found by police

A 42-year-old prisoner on the run from an open jail near Dundee has been traced, police have said.

Daniel McDougall failed to return to Castle Huntly prison on Saturday after being released for home leave.

Tayside Police said he had been found in the Strathclyde area on Sunday evening.

McDougall was sentenced to four years in jail in November 2008 for assault to severe injury and permanent disfigurement.
