The husband of a woman found dead at her home near Dundee has been charged with her murder.

Neil Cumming, 45, appeared in private at a specially convened court hearing in Ninewells Hospital.

Jane Cumming's body was found by police at their home in the village of Longforgan on 15 July.

Officers had gone to tell her Mr Cumming had been seriously injured in a road accident earlier that day. He made no plea and was remanded in custody.
