Lochearnhead beehive thieves strike again
Police have appealed for information after a beehive was stolen from a field in a Perthshire village.
The hive, in Lochearnhead, was stolen sometime between 18:00 on Friday and 14:00 on Monday.
It was in a field on the south side of the South Loch Earn Road and close to the junction with the A84.
Central Scotland Police said the thief "clearly knew what they were looking for" as the hive was not active and would not have posed a threat.
A force spokeswoman added: "This is the second time that beehives in this area have been targeted. A number of honeycombs and frames were stolen from a beehive in May.
"We appeal for anyone who knows anything about these crimes to come forward."
