Grangemouth shop reported over under-age alcohol sale
A Grangemouth shop has been reported for selling alcohol to an under-age teenager during a police operation.
Officers from Central Scotland Police ran three "test purchasing operations" at licensed stores in the area.
Two of the shops asked for ID from the teenager and then refused to sell them the alcohol.
But police said the third store did not challenge the youngster for ID and allowed them to buy the drink. A report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.
Community Officer Sara Whelan said: "We are working hard to reduce anti-social behaviour in the area and preventing young persons getting access to alcohol is one way we do this.
"If you have any concerns regarding local licensed premises please do not hesitate to contact the community team."
