Dundee chemical tank death worker named

A man who collapsed and died inside a chemical tank he was working in has been named by Tayside Police.

Steven Conway, who was 33 and from Dundee, was on a shift at Diamond Wheels Technology in Dundee when he fell ill.

He was given medical treatment at the scene before being taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital where he was confirmed dead.

The Health and Safety Executive will carry out an investigation.

The incident happened at about 13:30 on Thursday.

Two workers who had gone to help Mr Conway were also taken to Ninewells Hospital for checks. Police said there was no concern for their health.

The business repairs and refurbishes alloy wheels.
