Appeal after Croftamie phone cable stolen
More than 100m (328ft) of telephone cable has been stolen from a road in rural Stirling.
The cabling was taken at about 01:00 on Thursday at the junction of the A811 and A809 in the village of Croftamie, near Drymen.
Central Scotland Police said the copper cable was later found close to where it had been stolen.
The force has appealed to anyone with information about the theft to contact them.
A spokeswoman said: "To remove this amount of cabling would have required a vehicle and we are appeal for anyone who may have seen a vehicle in this area or anybody acting suspiciously to come forward."
