Two people killed in A94 car crash near Scone named

Two people killed in a road accident on the A94 near Scone have been named.

Robert Bruce Coupar, 78, from Kinrossie, was the driver of a Ford Fusion that collided with a Skoda outside Perth Aerodrome on Friday.

Elizabeth Ellis, 63, from Stenhousemuir, was a passenger in the second car. Both died at the scene.

The 67-year-old man driving the Skoda and the 70-year-old female passenger from the Ford have been discharged from hospital.

They were treated at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee following the collision.

Tayside Police said inquiries into the circumstances of the crash were continuing and they appealed for witnesses to come forward.
