Two injured in M80 crash near Stirling
Two women have been injured in a serious crash on a motorway near Stirling.
The collision, on the southbound M80, took place between Junction 8 and Junction 9 at about 12.30.
Police said the motorway was closed after the crash, which involved two cars, but had since reopened.
A spokeswoman added: "Two female drivers were taken to hospital with injuries which are believed not to be life-threatening."
The women were aged 43 and 71.
Central Scotland Fire service were also called to the incident. Police have appealed to anyone with information about the crash to contact them.
