Forfar publican suspended over drink driving
A landlady has had her publican's licence suspended after she was convicted of drink driving.
Karen Kennedy, who manages the Osnaburg Bar in Forfar, Angus, admitted the offence at a court hearing in February.
The 37-year-old, from Forfar, reported her conviction to the Angus Licensing Board, who decided to withdraw her licence for six months.
A sheriff has already fined Kennedy £600 and disqualified her from driving for three years.
Kennedy was more than double the drink drive limit when she twice reversed into a parked car while driving away from the pub in the early hours of 26 January.
Angus Council said the Osnaburg Bar could continue to trade while the licence holder, Green King Retailing Ltd, found a new manager.
The company has until 25 April to do this.
