M80 fatal lorry crash driver named by police

A man who died after a crash involving two lorries on the M80 has been named by police.

John Paul Pratt, who was 39 and from Bishopbriggs in East Dunbartonshire, died when his truck collided with a motorway maintenance lorry on Tuesday.

Two other men injured in the crash have been released from hospital.

The northbound stretch of the route was closed for more than six hours following the accident. Police have appealed for witnesses.

Meanwhile, Tayside Police have said that a 34-year-old man, who was seriously injured in a collision a fortnight ago, has died.

Kevin Fotheringham, from Arbroath, died from his injuries at Ninewells Hospital on Sunday following the crash on 17 May in Colliston.
