Man, 63, knocked unconscious in street attack in Falkirk
A 63-year-old man has had to receive hospital treatment after being knocked unconscious in an attack in Falkirk.
The man was walking along St John's Avenue in the town between 22.45 and 23.25 on Saturday when he was assaulted.
Central Scotland Police said the man managed to get to a relative's house and call the emergency services.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who was in the St John's Avenue area around the time of the attack.
A Central Scotland Police spokeswoman said: "The 63-year-old man was knocked unconscious as a result of the assault.
"He managed to get himself to a relative's house and then went to hospital where he was released following treatment.
"We appeal for anyone who may have been in the area around this time to come forward."
