Perth crash sees two taken to hospital in Dundee

A 28-year-old van driver has been taken to Dundee's Ninewells Hospital with serious head injuries after a crash on the A9.

The accident happened south of Inveralmond, Perth, at 09:50.

Tayside Police said the man was in a white Ford Transit, which was parked in a lay-by, when it was hit by a blue and yellow-coloured Scania lorry.

The 45-year-old driver of the lorry suffered a minor head injury and was also taken to Ninewells.

Officers said one lane southbound had been closed while crash investigators carry out inquiries into the incident.

The force appealled for anyone who saw the vehicles in the area before the crash to contact them.
