Longforgan man faces charges over indecent child images

A 40-year-old man has appeared at Perth Sheriff court accused of permitting indecent images to be taken of children.

James Small appeared in private on a petition accused of possessing indecent images of children and "extreme pornography" involving animals.

Mr Small made no plea or declaration and was fully committed for trial and freed on bail.

The case was continued for further examination.

Mr Small, from Longforgan, is alleged to have possessed indecent images of children at his home between 1 May 2009 and 14 June this year.

A second charge alleges that he "took or permitted to be taken" indecent photographs of children, while a third accuses him of distributing or showing the material between May 2009 and last June.

He is also is accused of being "in possession of extreme pornographic images depicting, in an explicit and realistic way, sexual intercourse between a human being and an animal".

The material is alleged to show sex with a chicken and between a man and a calf.
