Body found in Perth woods in search for missing woman

Doreen MacIntyre Police searching for Doreen MacIntyre have found a body at Kinnoull Hill near Perth

Police involved in the search for a missing 55-year-old woman have discovered a woman's body in woodland outside Perth.

Officers had been searching for Doreen MacIntyre, who was last seen in the grounds of Murray Royal Hospital at about 16:00 on Tuesday.

Tayside Police said the body was found at the foot of Kinnoull Hill.

Ms McIntyre's relatives have been informed of the find. A formal identification has yet to take place.

Police said there were no apparent suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident and, as with all sudden deaths, a report would be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
