Drugs worth more than £10,000 found near Grangemouth

Police have recovered drugs estimated to be worth more than £10,000 following a raid at a village near Grangemouth.

Officers carried out a search at an address in Maddiston following information received from the public.

Central Scotland Police said they found a "vast amount of drugs" including cannabis resin, diazepam, ecstasy, cocaine and herbal cannabis.

A 32-year-old man has been charged with being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs as a result.

Police said it was clear the drugs were destined for distribution in the Grangemouth area.

Insp John Kellett said: "This is a prime example of what can be achieved through police and the community working together.

"We continue to appeal to all members of the public to come forward and engage with us if you have any information about crimes in the area."
