Man in court in connection with Stirling robberies

A 36-year-old Stirling man is due to appear at Stirling Sheriff Court in connection with three robberies targeting women.

The three separate incidents took place during the course of one week at various locations across Stirling.

A 69-year-old woman was robbed of more than £100, a 23-year-old woman and a 47-year-old woman both had two-figure-sums of money stolen.

All three sustained minor injuries and were left visibly upset by the attacks.

The robberies took place on; 31 January in Polmaise Avenue, 1 February in Bruce Street and on 7 February at Forthside Bridge.

A Central Scotland Police Spokesperson said: "I would like to take this opportunity to thanks the public for their assistance in these incidents."
