Tayside Police have launched an investigation in Kinross after a man indecently exposed himself to a 17-year-old girl near the town centre.

The incident happened as the teenager was walking along High Street opposite the old Kinross High School, at about 19:40 on Sunday.

A man in a 2009 "N" registration black Volkswagen Scirocco car pulled up alongside her and exposed himself.

He was described as being 35 to 45-years-old and of medium build.

The suspect was also said to have had black, short hair and was unshaven. He was wearing a green and white checked shirt and blue jeans.

His victim was wearing black leggings, a long sleeved black top and a navy leather jacket with gold studs on the shoulders.

Following the incident, the car was seen in and around the Muirs and Main Street area of Kinross and may have been travelling towards the Grampian area.

Tayside Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or seen the car.
