Norovirus closes a ward at a Dundee psychiatric hospital
A ward has been closed at a psychiatric hospital in Dundee due to a suspected outbreak of Norovirus.
NHS Tayside has closed Ward 19 at the Royal Dundee Liff Hospital after several cases of vomiting and diarrhoea.
The health board said infection control measures had been put in place to prevent the spread of the virus.
It has been estimated that as many one in five people in Scotland may were hit by the bug last year.
Health officials have asked anyone who might be feeling unwell or experiencing vomiting and diarrhoea not to visit friends and family members at the Royal Dundee Liff Hospital for at least 48 hours after they are free of all symptoms.
